Trying to get Roxy to pose with something when all she really wants to do is take it and run away to eat it is...challenging.

Nila and I are in Vegas this weekend… what an interesting place. This is the ceiling in the entrance of the Bellagio. Pretty neat.

We took an Easter trip to Lincoln and managed to see Derrick and Katie this time! We were pretty excited and so was Cici. Roxy? Not so much.
This is the life of a poor dog with a 10-month-old crawling around. *deep sigh*

Nate and I attended The Flash Bus in Minneapolis this weekend. While I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I thought I would, I definitely learned a lot. Both Joe and David are incredibly knowledgable guys and I'm really glad I was able to see them.
After the Farmer’s Market last weekend, we went to a local park with the Leaches to take a few pictures of Sophia. She’s a joy to shoot and we ended up with a ton of good shots. This was one of my favorites. The rest you can find here.

I recently joined the Civil Air Patrol here in Fargo. It's been an interesting experience. This time of year, our primary mission is taking photographs of the rivers and roads as they flood. This helps local decision-makers actually make their decisions about putting up dikes, sandbags, etc. Pretty neat. Flying in a small plane like the one below and taking pictures out of the window is certainly a new challenge.

North Dakota is very, very flat. Maybe when you drive in to the state, you're not paying attention and you miss it. Maybe you've never thought about it. However, if you ever fly above the state with a window big enough to look out, you'll see it.
Canon 7D with EF 70-200mm f/4 @ 70mm 1/200s f/11 ISO 100.We went out to Eudora this week to take 9mo pictures of Grace. At one point, she found the string to turn the lights on the fan on and off. She was in awe of her newfound power… on off on off on off. I caught this one just as the light came on. I love the look on her face and how it was lit by the light that just turned on.
The rest of the pictures are up here.
