Week 15 - Jordan

Nate and I attended The Flash Bus in Minneapolis this weekend. While I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I thought I would, I definitely learned a lot. Both Joe and David are incredibly knowledgable guys and I'm really glad I was able to see them.

Week 15 - Nate

After the Farmer’s Market last weekend, we went to a local park with the Leaches to take a few pictures of Sophia. She’s a joy to shoot and we ended up with a ton of good shots. This was one of my favorites. The rest you can find here.

Week 14 - Jordan

I recently joined the Civil Air Patrol here in Fargo. It's been an interesting experience. This time of year, our primary mission is taking photographs of the rivers and roads as they flood. This helps local decision-makers actually make their decisions about putting up dikes, sandbags, etc. Pretty neat. Flying in a small plane like the one below and taking pictures out of the window is certainly a new challenge.

Week 14 - Nate

Duck, duck, duck, duck, GOOSE (eggs).

(no idea where the actual goose was, though…)

Week 13 - Jordan

North Dakota is very, very flat. Maybe when you drive in to the state, you're not paying attention and you miss it. Maybe you've never thought about it. However, if you ever fly above the state with a window big enough to look out, you'll see it.

Week 13 - Nate

We went out to Eudora this week to take 9mo pictures of Grace. At one point, she found the string to turn the lights on the fan on and off. She was in awe of her newfound power… on off on off on off. I caught this one just as the light came on. I love the look on her face and how it was lit by the light that just turned on.

The rest of the pictures are up here.

Week 12 - Nate

The super moon happened last week. Unfortunately, it was cloudy/stormy in KC so I wasn’t able to get a shot the day it happened. It did finally clear up a couple days later and I was able to take a stab at it. I definitely need a longer lens if I was going to get into moon photography (200mm just doesn’t cut it). That being said, I think this turned out alright.

Week 12 - Jordan

I've been really bad about taking pictures. I suppose that's just what happens when the weather stinks and the "newness" of winter has worn off. Angie and Kirby seem to be getting along quite well. Or, at least, he doesn't run away when she jumps up next to him.

Cell phone.

Week 11 - Jordan

As promised, here's a slightly better photo of Angie. We got her through Petsmart and their partnership with the Detroit Lakes Humane Society. Yes, her ear is always like that, and no, it doesn't cause her any issues. She seems pretty happy to lay around and purr for people!

Week 11 - Nate

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Shaw, Maureen, Anna, and the adorable Sophia joined us for corned beef and cabbage, Guinness, Nila’s Irish Car Bomb Cupcakes,  and, of course, a few pictures. Sophia is just a ham in front of the camera, smiling away. I think she gets that one from her dad…
