Week 14 - Nate

This week, Nila was tasked with baking a cake for Maria’s baby shower. After Maria set the bar with her cat cake for Anna’s birthday, Nila knew she needed something creative. Her 3D bear cake and “spring leaf” cupcakes certainly fit the bill.

Week 14 – Jordan

Week after Easter has us kitty-sitting for our friends in Moorhead. They have two cats that are usually very friendly! However, this weekend, only one of them wanted anything to do with us. Lily, pictured below, loves attention and tummy rubs, also, apparently, having her picture taken.

Week 13 – Nate

Our yard is full of Bradford Pears which, in the spring, fill with these really pretty flowers. Unfortunately, the flowers smell absolutely awful so we don’t spend too much time outside enjoying them. They do make for good pictures, though.

Week 13 – Jordan

Easter weekend we made a quick trip back to town to see the families. It was also Molly's grandma's 80th birthday, so that was pretty cool, too! The cake below was a gift from and made by Kristin from thé Cup in Lincoln. The cake itself was very tasty. I didn't have a chance to sit and have a cup of coffee when we picked it up, but thé Cup seems like a nice little place.

Week 12 – Nate

Nila made Rice Krispie Easter eggs for the holiday. She had the good idea to pour the sprinkles into this dish for a picture. I think it turned out pretty well.

Week 12 – Jordan

We've been taking Roxy on daily walks to help burn off some of her extra energy. It's been pleasantly nice out, but there isn't a large number of interesting things along our walking path. Also, it'd be kind of creepy to take pictures of the other people we see!

I know you're thinking, "Aww what? Clouds?" Yeah, clouds. And they're neat.

Have I mentioned that it floods yearly up here in Fargo? Well, it does. I made a Photosynth (the panoramic version) of the area pictured below. This playhouse is just to the right of the Photosynth. The same area on Bing maps shows that, normally, the water is back behind the trees, and not in these folks' backyards.

Week 10 – Nate

Like Nila. Maria also got a cake decorating kit for Christmas. She’s gone kind of crazy with it and decided to make a cat for Anna for her 10th birthday. By all accounts, it turned out fantastic.

Here's Kirby being Kirby. And by that, I mean climbing on our kitchen table.
