Week 10 – Nate

Like Nila. Maria also got a cake decorating kit for Christmas. She’s gone kind of crazy with it and decided to make a cat for Anna for her 10th birthday. By all accounts, it turned out fantastic.

Here's Kirby being Kirby. And by that, I mean climbing on our kitchen table.

Week 9 – Nate

We went to visit Shaw and Maureen this weekend. One side of their house is covered in really neat looking icicles. The evening sun was causing them to melt so it didn’t take long before I was able to catch a drip (7fps certainly doesn’t hurt).

Week 09 - Jordan

We had a nice delivery of Great Harvest dog bones last weekend and needed to take a decent product shot of them in action. We wanted to get her holding the bone in her mouth with the words facing us, but that proved rather challenging. So, I got this instead. I rather liked how it turned out.

Week 8 – Nate

Nila got a cake decorating set for Christmas and has been trying her hand at making fancy (and delicious) cakes. This is her first attempt at a layered cake.

Week 08 - Jordan

This weekend, we worked a bit on painting our office and putting together our new desks from our trip to Ikea when we were in Minneapolis. Having the new desks together means I have a little extra space. Extra space means I brought out the LEGO blocks. I messed around a little with them. The story below has a moral - something about robots.

Week 07 - Jordan

This weekend we had the wonderful opportunity to lose our power for a few hours one night. We're rather fond of electricity, so being without was a little annoying. I grabbed a couple outdoor solar lights that had charged up over the day and placed them in the house for some light.

And then I went outside to see what the neighborhood was like in the dark. Fortunately (or not), the neighborhood right next to us hadn't lost power, so it kept us pretty well lit up.

Week 7 - Nate

We got a nasty rain/ice/snow storm this week. All of our trees/bushes were covered in ice. We lucked out and didn’t lose anything other than a few branches, though.

Week 06 – Jordan

Travelled to Minneapolis this weekend for a quick trip. Molly had never been there, let alone to the Mall of America, so it'd seemed as good of a time as any to go. I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I would, mainly because I didn't carry the camera everywhere with me - I know, shame on me. I took a few out the window of our hotel room and one of them is below.

Week 6 – Nate

I’ve been behind on my picture taking lately because we’ve been busy working in the kitchen. This picture captures a few of the things we’ve accomplished…
