Week 5 – Nate

It snowed a bunch while we were at work on Friday so when we got home we decided to build a snow dog. We had such a cute model, how could we resist?

Week 4 - Nate

We had a few house guests this weekend. In addition to Shaw and Maureen on Friday night, Anna and her entourage are spending the night with us tonight. Pictured left to right, we have: India, Sheba, Buddy Buffalo, Alexandria, Buttons, Emma, and Gloria.

Week 04 - Jordan

Make-A-Wish's annual Walk for Wishes event is next weekend at the UP Center, where I'll be the creepy guy taking pictures of everyone. It should be a good time. Most people, for some reason, assume that the walk takes place on the actual ice rink (pictured below), but it's actually through the concourse above. Lighting isn't great up there, so I usually camp out near a window to get decent shots.

Below is an HDR of the ice rink. Being handheld and all, I think it turned out pretty well.

Other photos from the event are here.

Week 3 – Nate

Those of you that follow me on Twitter know that we’ve had some plumbing issues over the last week. The reality is that we’re remodeling our kitchen and had a bunch of work to do before our new counter tops were installed on Friday. As a result, I haven’t touched my camera in almost 2 weeks. Picking up the slack for me this week is Nila with a great picture of Maggie (surprise, surprise). I helped with the camera settings and post processing so I’m not totally cheating by posting this.

Week 03 - Jordan

Not much to say about the past week. It was pretty nice outside which allowed some of the snow to melt and then make everything under it really heavy. Also allowed us to go out for a walk. That’s about it. Had a lazy Saturday after we original hoped to have people over – the weather had other ideas as freezing rain coated the streets and our driveway, and then followed up with a rousing good couple inches of snow. “Yay”

Here’s Roxy chilling out on the couch. I haven’t done a dog picture since last year, so it’s totally okay now!

Week 02 - Jordan

Some unusual fog has covered the area. Rather neat looking, but it kind of sucks trying to cross a street. I'm sure you folks south of us know what I'm talking about!

Anyway, this is the back of someone's truck in the parking lot where the fog managed to settle. Looks like salt.

Week 2 - Nate

It’s been super foggy here in KC for the last several days. Nila, Maggie and I went on a walk one evening. I really like what the fog does with the lights.

2009 In Review - Jordan

What a year it was! We bought a house, added Roxy to the family, Nate got married, I moved to a new building at work, and we celebrated a few different holidays.

The pictures below are all the ones I’ve posted here this year. Why does it look like I’m missing one? Beats me. If you know what picture I’m missing from this, let me know! I’d pick a favorite out of them, but I can’t really do that. I can, however, let you.

So, which was your favorite from the year?

Week 1 – Nate

I’m still working on the year end summary for ‘09. Nila and I made a trip to Denver this week to start the new year. We stayed at an awesome little bed and breakfast. This was the stone path we walked on to get around to our room.

Week 01 - Jordan

Alright, starting again! I've published fewer pictures recently because I've been trying to use the camera below. I haven't yet gone through a roll of film on it, but I'm getting close. It's currently loaded up with Ilford Delta Pro 400 B&W, so I'm looking forward to seeing how the photos come out.

Below is an Olympus OM-10 SLR camera. It belonged to my parents and now I've, uh, borrowed it.
