Week 20 – Nate

We put together wedding invites this weekend… and by ‘we’ I really mean ‘Nila and her mom’. Meanwhile, I was busy taking pictures like this one :)

Week 20 - Jordan

This week we had our annual all-campus All-Hands meeting where we talked about stuff that I won’t bore you with here. After that, we had a “wine & cheese” celebration back at work where there was food, drinks, and yard games. Despite the name (and anyone familiar with these events already knows this), there’s an absence of wine and only a little cheese at these events. I had fun anyway, as it was a nice day out and I got to take a few pictures. My favorite is below, which I think is best viewed large on black.

Week 19 – Nate

Nila and I drove into a pretty nasty storm on our way up to Lincoln yesterday. This was what it looked like about 5 miles before we hit the rain.

Week 19 - Jordan

This week was the annual Microsoft Night at the Zoo, where, strangely enough, we go to the zoo. It was a pretty good time; a little cold and breezy, but the kids there seemed to be having fun. My boss told me that these red pandas never did anything except sleep, but they were awake and…eating lots of grass. Jeremy shook his keys to get this one to look up.

Week 18 - Jordan

Lights, camera, wait, I’m holding it. Apparently you can change the glass things on hanging lights to some pretty crazy things. This isn’t one of the crazy ones. But we liked it enough to replace what we had with them!

Week 18 - Nate

My dad turned 50 this week. Naturally, we had to put 50 candles on his birthday pie instead of those silly “5” and “0” candles. This is one of a series taken as he was blowing the candles out (yes, he got them all in the first try – 50 years young, if you ask me!)

I really like the lighting on his face and the reflection of the candles on the table. It was a tough choice, though – I really liked several from Maggie’s agility trial especially this one.

Week 17 – Jordan

Posted this late, but I promise I had a good reason! We spent this weekend moving to our new house, where we didn’t have an internet connection (or an unsecured wireless access point around us). More on the house can be found here if you're bored. Those photos will have to do until we're done unpacking and I take some better ones.

Week 17 - Nate

So… I failed to use my camera for much of anything this week but I did snap this picture as we were leaving dinner tonight and I just have one comment: Best. Restaurant. Ever.  A special thanks to Shaw and Maureen for letting us join them for this wonderful dinner.

Week 16 - Jordan

This week, featuring Molly running away from me. I don't shoot black & white very often, especially when it's light out and hasn't been snowing, but this seemed like a good candidate.
